Distance:               13.7 miles

Weather:                Dry & sunny

Leaving the car park on what promised to be a good day weatherwise we made our way through Scorton on the Wyre Way, through Woodacre Great Wood where we left the WW and continued through Grizedale valley where we had a coffee stop before the steep climb up Nickey Nook. Descending to Fell End farm and Grizedale bridge we made our way across Harrisend Fell and dinner stop. A short road section then took us into fields and up to Dolphinholme where we admired the mass of daffodils in the churchyard.  Our final 3 miles were again on the WW which we followed through the fishing lakes and Guys Farm back to our cars. The weather gods had really looked down on us today, we had lovely sunshine all the time and not much mud which made for a good walk enjoyed by all.
