Beetham to the coast and back 15th Jan

Distance: 15 miles

 

Weather: Sunny Intervals ; a nice day

 

Starting at 9am from Heron Mill the route was to the Fairy Steps, on  to Middlewood and to the south of Silverdale where we had a short break. The group then tracked the coast via the cove and Far Arnside Holgates Park.  

 

After a nice lunch at 1pm overlooking the bay the group went on to Arnside. After this we followed the   decommissioned rail line to Milnthorpe then via Storth back to Beetham for 15.30pm via the Deer Park where we saw a large group grazing and Cockshot Woods….  

 

All enjoyed the sights of the day with the lunch spot having a big thumbs up.

LDWA Walks

The LDWA organises many challenge events and local group social walks, as well as listing many more organised by other organisations. Challenge events are normally between 20 and 100 miles and must generally be completed within a defined time limit. Social walks are normally led walks of around 20 miles.
