Free parking and meet towards the rear of the car park at the Park Hotel pub,  625 Wigan Road, Ashton in Makerfield. WN4 0BY.  W3W //songs.plan.works (I have checked with the pub and we are ok to use their car park and hopefully some of us may have a drink here after the walk).  Note: If you are traveling from North to South on the M6 to get here, I would recommend coming off the M6 at junction 24 and then turn right at the lights to go over the motorway bridge and right again to join the M6 heading North and come off at junction 25. The Park hotel pub is only a minutes from the slip road this way. I would avoid driving through Ashton as it's usually busy.

Route: a circular walk in and around the Three Sisters Race track and nature reserve, heading to Viridor woods and back along Langate Lane with a little bit of history thrown in. This is an easy mostly very flat route (max ascent/ decent 200 feet) and follows good paths and woodland trails though at this time of year there will of course be mud. If the weather is really bad on the day the route can be shortened to 6 miles
