Weather: Good despite recent storms

10 walkers set off from Sawley, Near Clitheroe, on a very flat circular walk across open farmland near the river Ribble. It was as expected very muddy.

4 brave men from the group rescued a sheep that was heavily stuck and trapped in a thornbush.

LDWA Walks

The LDWA organises many challenge events and local group social walks, as well as listing many more organised by other organisations. Challenge events are normally between 20 and 100 miles and must generally be completed within a defined time limit. Social walks are normally led walks of around 20 miles.
