TIE THE KNOTT

TIE  THE  KNOTT     TUE  07  MAY

A group of 10 stalwart walkers, set off on a 16 mile walk from the pretty town of Sedbergh.

The weather was perfect, sunny with blue skies all round, the views as we climbed up towards the Howgills was marvelous, past Castleshaw Tower, then turning left along the bottom of Winder Hill, eventually crossing the River Lune to Master Knott and looking at the grave yard and Fox's Pulpit (founder of the quaker movement).

Then heading for Killington Reservoir, through New Park turning back towards Sedbergh, climbing steeply up to Home Knott trig point then down back through Sedbergh School grounds back to the cars.

A classic walk on a perfect day. Thankyou Chris.
