Magical Mystery Meander

Walk Leader- Phil Chapman
Number walking- 10
Distance- 14 miles
Weather- Fine
A good number of 10 turned up for the Walk. We nearly had 14 as 4 Lancashire Walkers turned up and contemplated joining us. Eventually they decided to go there own way. The weather was kind to us as we made our way to the Liverpool Castle. From there through plenty of Mud over Motorway, Rail, and Road to the Blackrod Leisure Centre for our first break. Unfortunately here one of our walkers had to leave due to unforseen Boot problems. We then made our way over fields to the Goose & Gander pub in Little Scotland and to the Wigan Links where we visited the Black Swan in the mini lake. Onwards through Arley Woods and eventually to Jubilee Park in Adlington for our lunch. From there we dropped down onto the Leeds Liverpool Canal along to Freddies Bridge 73 where a couple of walkers treated themselves to Ice Creams. Off again coming off the canal and into Limbrick. Through a Very Muddy field and wood section to come out at the Anglezarke Ressy where we finally took a Group Photo .then the final 3 mile stretch back to Go Ape and the cars just before it started raining. A Good 14 mile walk was enjoyed by all.
