Weather: Perfect weather conditions for January - bright, crisp, sunny day

We started from the footpath 100 yards along Barnwood Road, grid ref SD 90848 46217 where there was plenty of street parking nearby. We headed to Moor Hall Farm and followed the Pendle Way to Black Lane Ends; Proceed along Warley Wise Lane and Cowling Hill Lane to join the Pennine Way to Lothersdale (6.3 miles), where the Hare and Hounds pub was an ideal stop for refreshments. We continued up the Pennine Way to Pinhaw Beacon, before dropping back down into Earby, via Clagger Lane, and the footpaths to Earby YHA and across fields back to Moor Hall Farm.

LDWA Walks

The LDWA organises many challenge events and local group social walks, as well as listing many more organised by other organisations. Challenge events are normally between 20 and 100 miles and must generally be completed within a defined time limit. Social walks are normally led walks of around 20 miles.
