Conder Green

Distance: 11 miles

Weather: A glorious fresh Spring day

A glorious fresh spring morning greeted 18 eager walkers at Condor Green Picnic Area. We set off along the coastal path towards Glasson Basin and then followed the canal path along the Lancaster Canal towards Oldcliffe where we lunched. The path was flat and the route was very easy to follow although it was very muddy in places due to the extreme rain in previous days. We then continued the loop along the discontinued railway path that ran by the side of the River Lune. The rain was in the air but luckily stayed off until after the walk had finished. Several walkers enjoyed the warmth of the open fire and a choice of tipple in The Stork afterward. A great day was had by all.
