Weather: Cloud mist but no rain

From Crookfield Road we followed the Amble route up to Great Hill. As the stretch from White Coppice to Rivington had been previously checked we decided to leave the Amble route here and walk along Spitlers Edge and up Belmont Road to join the route again as we climbed up to Rivington Pike.

It was then on over Winter Hill, down to Belmont and up to the Witton Weavers Way which was followed back to our cars.

It was identified that the bridge on the way up to Great Hill is in desperate need of repair as are the stiles on the stretch from Belmont to Charlie's Pole. 

It was good to have four guests from East Lancs join us.
