This walk was pitched as a moderate walk of 18 miles in the Calderdale area. Setting off from the centre of Todmorden, the walk picked up the Calderdale Way above Todmorden golf course.  Great Rock was admired and photographed, before heading to Blackshaw Head.  The pack-horse bridge over the Colden was appreciated for its simple beauty and then we continued down the wonderful Colden Clough, emerging at Heptonstall.  Refreshments were taken outside the Blue Pig, Midgehole.  Pecket Well was the northern most point of the walk and from there we headed south to Hebden Bridge.  Horsehold Lane, uphill, was taken before walking along London Road to Mankinholes.  The side of the valley to Walsden via Rake end was traversed, returning to Todmorden along the canal for just before 4 o'clock.
