The walk commences from the pretty North Yorkshire hamlet of Stainforth. The route initially goes across farm land & open moorland before commencing the climb up the steep south face of Pen Y Ghent which does feature a limited amount of easy scrambling. From the summit the route travels down into Horton In Ribblesdale where the Ribble Way is joined. This is followed alongside the river to Helwith Bridge where a quite lane is taken to the stunning waterfalls of Stainforth Force, before the short final section back to the start point.
A fantastic walk providing some superb views of the North Yorkshire dales area & taking in some beautiful sections of the Ribble Way.
