RIVINGTON

                                RIVINGTON  Tues 9th October 2012

A bright sunny day with a bit of a chill in the air saw 15 walkers set off from Rivington Lower Barn to Horrobin Lane towards Chorley.

VIEW  OF  CHORLEY

Across some muddy fields and paths to eventually come out on top of Healey Nab, with good views across Chorley town and beyond.

                                              DRY  GROUND                                                                   PURE  MUD

Then along descent paths past Heapy Reservoirs one, two and three and a lunch stop over looking the cricket pitch at White Coppice. Heading back to Rivington past Anglezark Reservoir through the woods to Rivington Village Green.

WALK  THE  PLANK

Arriving at the cars at 2:45, 10.8 miles in total a good walk on a good fine sunny day.

Thanks John Crook.
