22 people set of from the quaint village of Downham, at the foot of Pendle Hill.

Dave led us off with heavy rain threatening but we only got a slight shower and another one around lunch time, so don't believe the weather forecasters all the time. Very wet underfoot but a great walk all the way round the bottom edge of Pendle Hill.

LDWA Walks

The LDWA organises many challenge events and local group social walks, as well as listing many more organised by other organisations. Challenge events are normally between 20 and 100 miles and must generally be completed within a defined time limit. Social walks are normally led walks of around 20 miles.
