SAWLEY 11 SEP

TUESDAY  WALK    11  SEPTEMBER

                                  SAWLEY  ABBEY                                                                   SAWLEY  BRIDGE

The start at Sawley Abbey saw 16 walkers set off on a rainy and sunny day.

As luck would have it we only got soaked once.  The rest of the day was sunny and windy which made for really good views of the Ribble Valley and Pendle Hill as a background. It was however very very wet underfoot as it had rained most of the night before.

We went along the Ribble across towards Grindleton village then up on to Grindelton Fell and forest, Beacon Hill trig point, then down back across fields to Sawley, a great days walk.

  Thanks Chris.        Distance 10.07 miles
