We set off following the Millennium Way across Oakworth Moor to Keighley Moor Reservoir. It is quite staggering how wet it still is on these moors considering it is July. At the reservoir we met a very informative twitcher who gave us an update on the wide variety of bird species in this area including two short ear owls he had just seen.  We continued to follow the Millennium Way all the way to Goose Eye where we stopped for lunch at the Turkey Inn where tea and coffee was served. We then followed a path along the valley of North beck through the delightful Higher and Lower Holme House Woods.

We then cut up through Exley Head to Occupation Lane which we followed crossing Branshaw Golf Course, bagging the Branshaw trig point, before dropping down to Low Bank. We then followed Turnshaw road back to our cars. A great walk in a beautiful area.
