A great walk from Dunsop Bridge on Sunday .Six members of West Lancs joined me for a longer social walk . The route started south following the River Hodder on the Ribble Valley Jubilee Trail crossing over Burnholme Bridge then climbing to the base of Mellor Knoll before dropping down to Hareden Farm where we took a short break.
We then continued along Langdon Brook to join the road at the water intake then on to Rams Clough to begin the ascent onto Whin Fell and down to Brenand Farm via Ouste Rake. Following the track up and around Middle Knoll descending to Whitendale and then joining the road adjacent to River Dunsop leading back to the village car park.

Challenge events are normally between 20 and 100 miles and must generally be completed within a defined time limit. Social walks are normally led walks of around 20 miles.
