The route started from Ingleton Community Centre car park and walked up the road to join “A Pennine Journey” passing through Twistleton Scars, and on and under Ribblehead Viaduct. The road was followed for a while before turning up to pass the railway cottages to lunch at Salt Lake nature reserve.
After lunch we climbed up to Fell Close. The whole ridge was then followed visiting Park Fell, Simon Fell and onto the windy sumit of Ingleborough, before decending back to Ingleton. 2850ft of ascent.
