Five West Lancashire walkers set off from the Pendle Heritage Centre car park in Barrowford for a 14 mile walk to include the summit of Weets Hill.

 

The route followed the Pendle Way from the Pendle Heritage Centre car park all the way to the summit of Weets Hill, and on down into Barnoldswick where we had lunch using some convenient trees for shelter from the showery rain which we experienced throughout the walk.

 

The route then followed the Leeds and Liverpool canal back to Barrowford, diverting through Foulridge over the canal tunnel.

LDWA Walks

The LDWA organises many challenge events and local group social walks, as well as listing many more organised by other organisations. Challenge events are normally between 20 and 100 miles and must generally be completed within a defined time limit. Social walks are normally led walks of around 20 miles.
