Cuerden Valley Country Patk

Walk Leader- John Titterington

Number on walk - 20 and one dog (Nellie)

Distance - 8 miles

Weather- Rain

We set off at 10.30am and walked round most of the county park including the lake and we also ventured into some of the surrounding area.  In the distance we had a good view of Cuerden Hall which appears to be undergoing significant external refurbishment.

We walked past Lisieux Hall which is the Brothers of Charity's main site in Lancashire.

The walk was taken at an accommodating pace with minimal height gain and good paths.  For most of the walk we had to endure rain which was quite heavy at times.

We stopped for lunch at the site of the remains of Lower Kem Farm.

The walk was enjoyed by all.
