The walk started from Settle railway station with the sun already out and the promise of a good day ahead. After the initial climb up to Giggleswick Scar we continued along the fells to arrive at Austwick, our coffee stop. Leaving there we made our way over Austwick beck to make the steady climb up through Oxenber and Wharfe woods before having our lunch stop. In the afternoon we descended to Stainforth and had a walk all round the Hoffman Kiln, one of the largest in Europe, before making our way back to Settle via the Ribble Way. A good day, with good company and great weather, that was enjoyed by all.
