Today our plan was to walk the long route not covered by last week’s short route walk. This meant heading off along the Witton Weavers Way to join the long route at Charlie’s Pole which we then followed back to Slipper Low and our cars.

Today it was Pauls turn to lead as he was not familiar with the route and again it proved to be a very worthwhile exercise as more changes to the description where deemed necessary.

The weather couldn’t have been any better and it was a complete contrast to last week’s walk. The views were stunning all day and the Autumn colours were quite something as the photos show. Photos can be seen 'here'
