Moss Bank Bolton 24 July 18

Walk Leader: Lynn Rossiney

No on walk:  31 plus 1 dog

Distance: 12 miles

Weather: A bit cooler than of late but very humid

Once again I was amazed at the number of people who turned up.

We set off towards the parks café and w/c, then made our way over towards Smithills  Hall where there is now a new housing estate built nearby. Over towards Belmont we crossed Belmont road then down towards Egerton where we had a coffee stop at the Cricket club.

Onwards over towards Cox green we climbed up to the trig point then down to Turton Tower where we had lunch in the lovely grounds. Down the side of the Jumbles reservoir we carried on to Hall i’th wood & the museum. There was a bit of road walking but then we picked up the trail back to the chimney and park

Thanks to everyone for their support.
