16 people and 2 dogs left the Barley car park at 10.30 after waiting 30 mins for any victims of the motorway debacle. We went through Barley Green past the completed Water Board properties. We headed up past the Lower and Upper Ogden reservoirs on the way to Boar Clough.Tricky crossing the brook at the Clough having to split the party 12 4. The intrepid 12 and Nelly proceeded via the Clough to the summit and the cautious 4 and Fly retraced our steps and took the steep descent of the Witch Way.
The 2 parties reconvened east of the summit and all proceeded down to an overdue and welcomed lunch stop in Barley Village.
Thereafter a less exciting walk but with splendid views. We passed the Black Moss reservoirs and took a circular route into Rough Lee marvelling at the thunderous weir and then onwards by the river back to Barley.Thank you Glyn for your photography skills and thanks to all for making a great day out.
