In the calm of the storm of Ophelia, eight West Lancashire LDWA members completed a 16 miles circular walk from the Jubilee Tower on the Trough of Bowland road.Having to plough through the plentiful mud along the Wyre Way, they were ultimately rewarded with clear views of Morecambe Bay from the top of Ward's Stone before continuing on to Grit Fell and then following the fence downhill back to their cars.

LDWA Walks

The LDWA organises many challenge events and local group social walks, as well as listing many more organised by other organisations. Challenge events are normally between 20 and 100 miles and must generally be completed within a defined time limit. Social walks are normally led walks of around 20 miles.
