It was a beautiful, sunny morning when the 17 people who came on this walk met up, coming together from various car parks around St. James's church in Haslingden. Tom led the way, up the lane, to arrive at The Halo, one of 4 panopticons in East Lancashire. Continuing on from there we had a steep climb up to Cribden Hill and walked across the moorland on part of the 'Round the Hills' walk with glorious views all around.

Picking up on the Rossendale Way we descended to the small hamlet of Stone Fold before arriving at the outskirts of Rising Bridge where we had our lunch stop in a little park and children's playground. Ken and Tom had a great time on the roundabout and the swings!

Still following the Rossendale Way we walked up the road, passing the Farmer's Glory pub and continued round the bottom of Thirteen Stone Hill before dropping down to a pleasant path above the Grane Road with views of Musberry Heights. After a grouping up we had a stiff pull up the road which led us back to our various car parks to finish at 2.15pm.
