The Walk:-

Walk Leader - John Titterington.

We had twelve people turn up for the walk and despite it being a cloudy day, everyone was in good spirits. We had a new member who seemed to enjoy it and we are hoping he will join us again.

We walked towards Whitendale, where it started to rain and continued for most of the day. From there we walked over to Brennand where we had our dinner. We discussed whether to cut short the walk due to the rain, however the decision was to continue. So we carried on over Ouster Rake path towards the Trough of Bowland Road, arriving back at Dunsop Bridge. Everyone agreed it had been an enjoyable walk.

LDWA Walks

The LDWA organises many challenge events and local group social walks, as well as listing many more organised by other organisations. Challenge events are normally between 20 and 100 miles and must generally be completed within a defined time limit. Social walks are normally led walks of around 20 miles.
