Wed 29th May-  Hurst Green

This weeks Tuesday walk was moved to Wednesday due to Charlie Thompson's funeral, a well known West Lancs stalwart.

We started at Hurst Green car park  heading down the lane past the church and Merrick's Hall, through Bailey Hall Wood where the bluebells were in full bloom, past Bailey Hall Farm across Longridge Road up towards Longridge Fell. Through Hudd Lee woods along Clitheroe Old Road up towards the end of the fell and towards the Trig point at Spire Hill. 

 Turning left down to lunch stop, keeping out of the wind! Then down to Weedacre Farm across the fields to the old Craven Heifer Pub which is now a private house, turning left at Plaintree Hall on to Chaigley Hall and then Turner Fold. Eventually past Stoneyhurst College back to Hurst green. 

 A very good days walk 10.9 miles, 10 members present,
