As a tribute to Charlie we are going to do the 14ml 10 Foty walk.
As some of you know, Charlie did 10 First of the Year walks, all starting from various pubs in the area, and in 2003 put them all together and organised a 14 or 26 mile event.
The 14 miles walk visits 6 pubs (sorry but we won't be going in until maybe when we get back to the Hare and Hounds if it is open then) and is a relatively easy walk.

General Notes
His main walking area was the West Pennine Moors which he knew like the back of his hand.
In addition to the FOTY walks and event, Charlie, organised many other events and walks for the club, including twelve Barbondale's, Round Preston Walk, Ribble Way, Leap Year Loops, leading walks, Over 70s walks, helping on many checkpoints over the years etc. etc.
