Absent the moral of Enid Blyton famous five” always be ready for adventure”, five of us set off with trepidation not knowing how wet the day would be or whether Storm Antoni would have us praying to Saint Anthony for help in finding lost items- the five of us!

Unexpectedly the rain held off for most of the day and despite a few showers we even had a little sunshine as we headed down to Whitendale from Dunsop ( soggy) Moor.

Lunch and a coffee from the cafe at Dunsop Bridge and back to Slaidburn via Newton for 3.30.

Many thanks to the three brave souls who perhaps against their better judgment joined us and provided great company.
