Walk commenced from car park off A685 south of Tebay village.
Good day for walking as ground conditions were fine and weather was good.
The route from the car park lead up to the repeater stations above the valley from where we head off onto Grayrigg picking up the trig point(494m) and then onto the cairn on Grayrigg Pike where we stopped for a brew and took in the views over to the Howgills and the M6 which runs through the valley below.
We then retraced our route back to the repeater stations and then on to Whinfell Beacon .
The route followed the ridge onto Whinfell Commom,up to Castle Fell,Mabbin Crag and onto Ashstead Fell where we had a break for lunch.
After a  lunch we continued on following the ridge and then descending down to Borrowdale Beck at the head of the valley.
The final stretch followed the track along the valley floor adjacent to the beck.
