Weather: Good weather throughout the day

Setting off at 9.30am from the Heron Corn Mill the group headed up towards the Fairy Steps. Following paths to the railway underpass the group followed the railway line until Middle Wood when we followed the path to Arnside Tower for a mid morning break

The track was followed to the campsite with the sea in the foreground. With the sea to our left we passed through Far Arnside Caravan Park and then tracked the sea shore until we reached the headland overlooking the River Kent.

Lunch was taken with views out to the bay. After lunch the group followed the estuary to Arnside and then crossing the railway line the old embankment was followed to Storth.

We then passed through Storth village where we had a short break then passing through Cockshot Woods we made our way to the Deer Park and a short way back to the cars with Milnthorpe town to the left.

A nice walk with not much climbing and with the sun to our backs you could have mistaken the coastal walking with walking abroad.
