Number on walk: 14 + one dog

Distance:             12.5 miles

Weather:             Dry and cloudy

We met up at Barley car park and the weather was dry and cloudy. We followed the stream to the scout camp and through the woods. Then we went up the lane to Hollins top and down to Bank End . We then made our way back to and round the back of the tower, making our way through a farm where the animals were not only in the fields, but on the door step too.

Then through Malkin tower and onto the Pendle way to Weets hill farm and on to the Trig and down to lane side following the lane to Middop Hall and at Whytha where we had lunch. Then it was on to Twiston moor and on to Black Moss farm. Some of the group departed and the rest of us went round the sculpture trail climbing a very steep hill. We had a good look around the back past the reservoir to the village. This was a great day and stayed dry almost till the end. The leader Tom was lagging behind at times, but didn't manage to get us lost that's a first ....ady ...Tom
