Hurstwood Sept 13th

On what was supposed to be one of the hottest days of the summer, at last, 13 people and one dog set off for a tour of some of South Pennines reservoirs. Off up the Pennine bridleway to the junction of Ridehalgh lane then down into Calderdale and Widdop reservoir where the water was very much like a mirror.  Tthere we had lunch overlooking the reservoir and it was getting hotter. After making our way up to the Gorple track we approached Upper Gorple reservoir which we went past and back on the Gorple track heading for Hurstwood  reservoir and then into the village of Worsthorne and back to the cars. A good walk had by all.
