Route
11 miles. Start 10.00. Beacon Bosh (don't feed the crocodile) Can be muddy in places. Plenty of ups and downs with a few stiles. Dogs welcome. No need to book.
10am Start Free CP Beacon Country Park Visitors Centre, Beacon Lane, Dalton, Upholland, Lancs WN8 7RU. SD505066. WC and Cafe available.
Walk will head out along the golf course to Ashurst Beacon dropping down through Dalton Lees to the Leeds Liverpool canal and along to Apply Bridge. We will then head back up to Stone Hall before dropping slightly to Roby Mill, Walthew Green (look out for the crocodile) and eventually down to Dean Wood. Following the brook upstream we leave the wood traversing Dean Wood Golf Club and up to St Josephs College and back to the Beacon Country Park
