Meet outside the Griffin Inn, Hud Rake, Haslingden BB4 5AF. Plenty of parking near the inn. The Griffin Inn is the home of the Rossendale Brewery which sells a varied selection of its own real ales. The licensee is Alejandro who will be on the walk. Grid reference SD 787238
The walk will start from the Griffin & after a short distance we will pickup the Hyndburn to Stubbins Cycle path, which will take us up to Grane Road. From Grane Road we will proceed to Holden Wood Reservoir. A slight Gradient walk to Riley's farm, then downhill to Holcombe Road, Helmshore, where we will pick up the Cycle path to take us back to Grane Road then back to the Griffin where those who wish may partake of the beer. A moderate walk with relatively little height gain and easy paths
