Cop a P P P - 2023

Yet another smashing route devised by Roy T. Six joined us at the appointed 08:30 from Honley.

Reaching Meltham and the valley bottom we all noted the lonely farmhouse way up the hillside of West Nabb. Unbeknown to us elevenses were took at Deerhill Rezzie, just after the lane that took you to said farmhouse.

This viewpoint had lovely views over Blackmoor Rezzie and all the way to Huddersfield. The day was turning into a very warm one with clear blue skies, a lovely day to be out and about.

Once we came across Cop Hill and the Rose & Crown, a swift refreshing half and a toilet break was in order.

Dropping down to Slaithwaite for lunch. A pleasant canal walk (there were three, Aaron, Karen & Julie attempting the Hundred next weekend (we envisage a few more canal miles)) along the Leeds & Liverpool canal, once crossed...

The 3 long pulls up to Crossland moor golf course in full sun had us all gasping and once at Netherton (the home of Roys daughter) we were very happy to have our water bottles replenished.

Once past the quarries and into Honley we all agreed we had had a smashing day, just a little cooler next time, the car told me it was 25.5 degrees at 16:30.

Thanks Roy for another great walk
