The Don Valley Way

The Don Valley Way

Seven folk met at Conisborough train station to walk the 22ml route of the Don Valley Way.

We pass four train stations along the way so anyone could cut this walk short and make it back to the cars in Conisborough.

From Conisborough we found the old Earth Center, Crossing the river Dearne and into Mexborough then the Cut we found the Don again in some flood plains towards Swindon (two stns passed)

Finding the Toll bridge we also found Car Lane closed to traffic, into Thrybergh and around the lake saw us eventually make Rotherham central.

Finding the Don here (avoiding the steel works) along side The New York Stadium we began the Five Wiers walk towards Meadowhall.

We eventually made it to Sheffield and just made it onto the 16:10 train back to Conisboro

Thank you Bill and John, fantastic route
