In the Footsteps of Bluebells

A good turn out of 14 found us in the car park in North Anston. we walked through South Anston and onto the Chesterfield Canal. Along the canal we passed the Seven Locks system and on towards Turner Wood.

We left the Canal at Woodsets and continued through Lindrick golf course where we had our morning break.

From Carlton in Lindrick (past the spitfire again) we walked through Wallingwels into the Langold Country Park to Letwell.

Once at Firbeck we had our afternoon break at the Black Lion public house, after refreshments we continued through the old WW2 airfield and down towarss Roche Abbey.

After the Abbey we walked through Laughton en le Morthan to find the old mineral line (now footpath) back to North Anston.

Many thanks for Bill leading this old challenge walk.
