Dunford Round

Eight souls braved this strenuous Anytime Challenge on isolated moorlands on the west side of the Pennines, starting from Langsett Reservoir at 8:30am where Roy had his annual rhubarb give away.

It began as an overcast breezy day but a warm one, leaving Langsett we followed last month’s Penistone Boundary in reverse.

Crossing the Don and climbing the left side of Thurlstone finding a few inquisitive cows arriving at Jackson Bridge (home of Cleggy and his crew).

Now to climb the right side of Thurlstone we eventually found Dunford Bridge.

The climb away from Dunford was a warm one towards Thurlstone Moor then the Snow road.

Passing the pub on the Woodhead road we found we path through the forest finding our cars in the car park in a reasonable time.

Again, thanks Roy for leading.
