A bay Horse Gallop

Vermuyden walk Sunday Oct 21st, A Bay Horse Gallop leader Chris Haley.

10 walkers met at the car park for the Ancient village of Wharram Percy in the Yorks Wolds at 8.30am on a lovely October morning for a 19 mile walk around the Wolds.

We walked through some beautiful countryside and Wolds as we made our way to Burythorpe and the Bay Horse Inn for our lunch stop, a pub that had been closed now reopened serving excellent drinks and good food. Whilst we were there a classic car rally called and what a fantastic sight see all those wonderful cars.

Suitably refreshed we left the pub and climbed up on to the ridge to reach The Wolds Way and make our way back to the start.

We had fantastic views over the Vale of Pickering towards the North York Moors that was bathed in sunlight and was a lovely sight to see. We arrived back at the start after a great walk, Thanks Chris.
