The circuit along lanes, tracks & footpaths over the Pennine moors, & in parts coincident with the Pennine Way National Trail, was designed as a companion walk to the Saddleworth Five Trig Points Walk, though it does not link with it. It visits the trig points on Bishop Park, Tame Scout, Blackstone Edge, White Hill & Standedge
