Our mission today is to enjoy a walk whilst Mark and Nicky do a little bit more writing and refining of the route description for our Spring in Lakeland 50 mile event next year.  The walk will visit Rydal Water, Loughrigg Terrace, Loughrigg Tarn, then Elterwater and across to Slater Bridge (so a walk out to the inspiration for our new logo!!).  Then leaving the 50 route we will return via Colwith Force to Skelwith Bridge, to pick up the route again over the shoulder of Loughrigg, back to Ambleside.

Potential for anyone wanting to shorten the route to abandon us (ruthlessly, some would say) at Chesters Cafe and catch a bus back into Ambleside
