This was an impromptu walk we decided to put on at the last minute, after our other impromptu walk from Arnside between Xmas and New Year.  There was such lovely weather this year over the Christmas break that it would have seemed rude not to!  A few of us met in Barbon and walked up over the Calf Top and did a circuit of the ridge before returning down the valley.  It was a tad longer than planned but such beautiful weather and a plate or two of chips at the Barbon Inn soon reviived us afterwards.
