Newby Bridge to Rusland in the Snow December 2023

The extremely deep snow fall of the weekend before, rather put paid to our planned join walk with East Lancs who were somewhat snowed in up at Ghyll Head.  But the walk was salvaged as three of us stuck grips on our shoes and tackled a respectable 12.7 miles from Newby Bridge over to Rusland and back via Bouth.  It is a very nice walk and of course extremely pretty in the snow so we hope to repeat it next year (perhaps with green grass and sunshine but who knows!)  Thanks to Ann-Marie for turning up with the right foot gear to keep us all safe.
