Newbiggin to Smardale June 2023

A sweltering day in the Smardale valley saw a little group of us smothered in suncream and wrapped up in sunhats plodding about trying to stay cool.  We had a lovely day following  a section of the Coast to Coast route, climbing up to Great Kinmond and then heading over to Smardale.  Potts Valley offered some shade for our lunch which was most welcome.  Thanks to Nick Spencer for leading us round safely on this very warm June day.
