This was a walk which included a lovely trip on Ullswater to start the day off.  It was great to have a coffee and watch Helvellyn and his neighbours float by as we approached Howtown.  Not so great when we had to get off and climb the hills up onto High Street.  Any walk along High Street always gives great views and a real sense of covering some distance - that of course is what Roman Roads do.  A nice chance to collect some Wainwrights, Birketts and other odds and ends of Lakeland Tops.
