Meet at Patterdale near the White Lion
Walk goes via Hartsop up to High Street & uses Scots Rake to get down into the Troutbeck Valley

Various bus/driving options or combination of both:
For public transport: The bus you need is the 508
From Penrith a bus departs at 9:02 & arrives at 9:49 in Patterdale
From Winderemere rlwy stn a bus departs 8:55am & arrives 9:50 at Patterdale
From Troutbeck Bridge Church intercept the Windermere bus - departs 9:18
For a bus back to Patterdale at the end of the day or on into Penrith: 15:18 & 17:23 will take you back (we would be ambitious I think to catch the 15:18 one) takes 1 hour 10 minutes.
(Please note we have double checked that this 508 will still be operating at this date - yes - it runs until at least 16 September as advised by Stagecoach personnel.)
