Along the Dales Way from Sedbergh to Burneside. Approx 500 m ascent
General Notes
This is a linear walk. Suggested public transport options for getting to the start:
Burneside bus 45 to Kendal 0828 or 0858. You have to walk between stops in Kendal so I'd recommend the 0828 unless you're familiar with it.
Kendal S1 to Sedbergh. Kendal Blackhall road 0928 Oxenholme station 0938 Sedbergh post office 0958.
If arriving in Burneside by car, please park responsibly and car share where possible. You can join the S1 at Kendal or Oxenholme Station. Hourly trains back from Burneside to Kendal / Oxenholme & beyond.
This is a long walk, please only come if you are comfortable walking this distance. The aim is to arrive at Burneside by 6pm so roughly 8 hrs of walking at a steady pace with short breaks.
There are very limited facilities enroute, please come prepared. There are possible honesty boxes for refreshments enroute, please bring cash.
Space is limited to 8 people due to public buses, please let James know if you want to come and where you plan to join the bus
