Walk Report

A 14 mile clockwise circular walk in Upper Wharfedale and Littondale including two significant climbs and overall approximately 3,300 feet of ascent.

Commencing in Buckden cross the River Wharfe and climb Birks Fell before descending into Litton via Ackerley Moor. Cross the River Skirfare and follow it north west to Halton Gill, then take A Pennine Journey up and over Horse Head and down into Yockenthwaite. Cross the Dales Way and the River Wharfe at Yockenthwaite and return to Buckden via Cray and Buckden Rake.

On a clear day terrific views of both Wharfedale and Littondale together with Yorkshire's Three Peaks and beyond.
