Thornborough Henges | Saturday 15 October 2022

Walk Leader: Ann Grainger
Participants: 11
Mileage: 20 miles
Ascent: 950 ft
Walk Report: Ann Grainger
Weather: A short shower to start, followed by a nice day.  Breezy at times.

After leaving Leeming Village we passed by Leeming mill, Thorpe Perrow, and Snape. We had lunch at Well and walked through Nosterfield Nature Reserve before we arrived at the 3 Henges.
The Henges date back to the bronze ages and are a mirror image of Orion's Belt.  They were once covered in gypsum and would have been seen for miles around.

We all had an interesting day.
